I have to disagree, none of those games would be better with mouse and keyboard. PC is a superior gaming platform though.

 

Halo 1 PC is a thousand times better than on xbox. sniper + pistol and pwn them all! Perfect dark is incredibly fun, but due to simple level design, probably best stay on single-stick N64. haven't played others enough to judge.

totally agree with knuck. even in games where aiming isn't as important (Assassin's creed) i find the joystick to be a hit and miss. in its multiplayer, locking on target with joystick-aim is horribly slow.

 

The only type of games you possibly could want to play with controller over KB/M is racing...

Wake on IO or no jets was epic. I hate jets. Completely and utterly hate them.

 

I do share the enoyance at jets, though there back just hope the aa is good enough to flatten them.

Controllers have a sort of clunky charm that goes so well with those games. It's a bit like bumbper cars; built for fun, not to go fast.

 

Can't wait for this game hopefully it runs decentley on my PC

 

Changing the thread name

 

Dice did a FB update the other day suggesting the game might go head to head with COD, launching on the same day in November. That would be epic!

 

I find the lack of anti air kits lame.

Wasn't a popular game but I loved the anti air kit that the original Vietnam game had, kind of made it a bit more even.

 

We should start to get hints of some details of the beta soon i think.
Guessing that they will want about a months beta for the game with maybe one or two maps as normal.
My guess is that they will give a month or even maybe a week for when the beta is due with in the next month, coz if they do and partnered with ATI or nvidia they will sell GPUs like hot cakes in prep of the beta.

My self i looking into the 7xxx or the nvidia equivalent for BF3 which is due about the same time as the game, and maybe a new hard drive depending on funds at the time.

Due out on the same day as COD is fantastic, Dise have BIG balls!

 

I'm going to look into selling my 5870 and upgrading to a heftier card for BF3.

I would imagine that there will be alot of information available at E3.

EA/DICE should release the game on the 4th november on the friday, MW3 wont be released till the tuesday.
