    So they pass laws that grant the secretary of state the powers to force communication service providers to remove or disable end-to-end encryption while recommending service providers use end-to-end encryption.

    It looks like our politicians are as confused as i am. o_O

    Taking security advice from an agency that routinely leaves unsecured laptops full of sensitive info and/or doesn't think to obscure meeting notes from onlooking paps...

    ...very much 'do as we say, not as we do'.
