I aint played GTA: SA yet on the Playstation 2 becasue i have been waiting on it coming out for the PC. The temptation to buy it for the playstation 2 has been HIGH!

Too high for me. I wish I hadn't now, I stopped playing it after a few missions because the gameplay was suffering due to the inadequate graphics. I should put it on ebay really, while it's still worth a few quid.

funny this thread popped up again... i have just played san andreas for the 1st time on the PS2 at a friends... not a bad game overall... BIG map.. the only thing that let it down was the fact that his copy was scratched up pretty bad so it was a bit slow in rendering the graphics...

What do you expect from the PS2? PC like graphics? It's still keeping with the style of GTA3 and VC, with a few tweaks here and there. The fact that it doesn't need to load once you're in is great. Got damn annoying hopping from island to island on VC to have the loading screen pop up all the time.

The only downfall with SA on the PS2 is the radar is crap. You get used to it after a while, but it was a shock at first. It runs fine on my PSTwo, though I agree with the rendering problems, as my original PS2 hiccups now and then.

I have it for the PS2, but after playing the frist 2 on the PC originally, I found it to be hard to control on the PS2, so I my buy it for the PC, pity I couldn't wait for the PC release and bought a PS2 for it :)

Yeah. A K6-2 with a TNT gfx card in it.

But seriously, I was hoping it would be better than it is. I thought I would find it playable at least.

    /me counts down the days.

I so can't wait for this game... it looks so much better than every GTA that's come before it. It simply pisses on the PS2 version.

The controls are difficult to use - it's a game that needs a mouse/keyboard combo!

The graphics are terrible - compared to the PC.

Blame Sony if anyone - think they've got a 6 month deal on SA, meaning no other versions can be released within those 6 months. I, and I know many others who found the controls a lot easier on PS2 than PC - it's down to personal preference.

The graphics don't seem terrible, they're probably the best that the PS2 can handle now, taking into account the sheer size of the game.
