http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpdPSZB8A8E Thought it would be worth a post, for those who are interested. Unfortunately its not a real game, just a tessellation demo.
Nice find, but I'm not going to take any benchmarks from Nvidia or ATI. They will all be way too bias to fit the best benchmarks for their cards.
Nice looking but its easy to put lipstick on a pig Its when it hits reviewers that we will see what its made of
It's shown in the vid, but as I said the vid is by nVidia and it's only a tessellation demo, not a real game.
I'll be honest, I'm surprised that there quite so close with the amount of delay's and trouble Nvidia have gone to with Fermi. And one can only assume they'll be even closer in non Nvidia biased benchmarks.
Well, atleast the HD5870 has a higher maximum. Surely these companies realise that making graphs like this while being the only source of information leads to 'scepticism', to put it lightly. About all it achieves is to try and put heat on ATI, while also giving investors something to latch on to.
Forget this load of old tosh. Nvidia marketing propeganda, nothing more. The only time I'll sit up and take notice is when completely independant, impartial reviewers get their hands on Fermi and start to do some benchmarking. Until then, it's all selective, synthetic results, with no direct comparrison to real world performance.
I know it has more CUDA core's than any other card, but I wonder if they'll have a few more tricks up their sleeve to improve folding performance.... Kinda forces anyone interesting in folding to be a NV fanboy
I just want to run Crysis on Max graphics and effects at 1900x1200 with a minimum of 60fps, if it does that, I will buy one lol
That video is a long way from being a benchmark, its just a marketing ad by nvidia, when somebody other than Nvidia/Ati release 'benchmark' figures ill start paying attention.
