If they're only light you could use toothpaste and a cloth. Rub it in over the scratches and the grit in the toothpaste (actually limestone did you know?) will descratch it :p

For deeper cuts this might not work though.

I read a thread on here a couple of days ago about a tube of stuff you can rub onto things and it'll help get rid of the scratches - although, you're only going to have luck with minor things...

I know this post isn't much use, as I haven't told you what this tube was - but try searching "scratched mobile" or "scratched iPod" - should bring it up...

Some high grit sand paper with a buffer should do the trick if the scratches are deep.

lol im sorry to bring back an old thread but i was wondering if this technique with the toothpaste would work on an ipod. If not are there any other ways to help remove any scratches on an ipod? Thanks!

it works on coolermaster heatsinks to give it a smoother surface, I hate the standard CM finish ... quite rough ...

I got home from school today and decided to give it a try and it sure did work! I had a pretty good amount of scratches on it and i used the toothpaste and it cleared it up. I still have some scratches but nothing major. Thanks for the tip!

There's a stuff that's made especially for acrylic, boat windows, nascar car winshields etc plastics, it's called NOVUS comes in three parts for light to bigger scratches.
I forgot where i put the link but if you google NOVUS you'll find tons of places selling the stuff :thumb:
