Ah, but when you walk through the front door after a particularly crabby day at work to be greeted by a hug from your kids it just don't matter. :D

    Congratulations.:thumb:

Congrats, dude! The big toothless smile more than makes up for the lack of sleep and diminished social life.

Congrats to the three of you. Insert random sarcastic comment here.

Seriously though, nice one - I remember being told when I was 12 that I wasn't a baby when I was her age, but in fact a basketball. (I weighed as much as one, naturally.)

Wow, thought my daughter was hard to deliver at 8 lbs 3 1/2 oz. She's adorable and looks as though she has a good start. Congratulations to you and your wife.

Yeah, she was due the 5th, and managed to pop out on the 6th with 2/3rds of her grandmas around!

My wife, is very tired, but we're adjusting to the whole concept of caring for another human being pretty well.

Just getting ready for her was a ton of work, but the whole being a girl part was a welcome surprise... everyone and their mom thought she was going to be a boy (myself included)

Welcome to a life of guilt!

[you will know what I mean soon enough]

It doesn't get any easier - but the weird thing is, you'll find you don't actually mind one bit. That was quite a shock for a self-confessed idle ******* like myself.

Anyway, everyone else will be wrapped up in looking after mother & baby - make sure you look after yourself properly too.

Seconded cjm. My wife gave birth to our second on 3rd December (10lb 4 1/2 oz:eeek:). You always look after mum and child(ren) before yourself. I'm finding work particularly hard (after 3 1/2 hours sleep for a few weeks, lucky I'm a borderline insomniac!) especially as once you get home, you've got the kids!

Enjoy your family. Everything else takes second place to them.

    Congratulations to you both!

    Andy

P.S. No more upgrades for a couple of years for you!

Jeeez what is it with everyone having kids or getting married now? When we started this back in 01 people were still in school or collage :eeek:

What worries me is are we going to be discussing stuff with your children next time I realise this :eeek:

Possibly, my daughter was 4 in December and got a DS from her grandparents and she's already has an import title to play. Start 'em young I says. :hehe:

Sorry to hijack the thread... but I'm also a dad...again.

Joseph 'I ate all the pies' Martin checked in this morning, weighing 10lb 4oz.

    Woo yay!
