This wouldn't be in response to the damming comments made about Intels misleading graphics?

the gfx market could do with another contender, hopefully all Intel's stuff isn't integrated though, integrated graphics suck

    Edit
Also does this happen to anyone else ?

When will the madness stop? AMD buying ATI was enough for the entire year, but Intel getting intro graphics? I guess they have to be able to compete with AMD if they get into one chip CPU/GPU solutions, or even just on a business level be able to offer similar products, but things seem to be getting awful complicated.

    I do not envy Nvidia.

So ... Nvidia + Via  uhm, no, wait, they need a CPU with some power :duh:

It wouldn't be bad if it were to be part of the CPU though. For instance, a quad-core CPU, where one of the cores is dedicated to Direct3D processing, whilst the other three are used for general purpose processing. And with a whole CPU core dedicated to just graphics, the performance would be amazing :D!

Multiple cores are possible so, the reality of a multicore cpu with one core dedicated to graphics is possible. Interesting.

That would be pretty interesting but I highly doubt they'd do cpu gpu intergration starting out. It makes more sense to have 2 sockets, 1 for cpu and 1 for gpu before integrating.

It can only mean one thing...

you will have to buy another motherboard. Why?

Because with intel you always have to buy a new motherboard to use any new product :sigh:

Well, as long as their not just going to focus on crappy integrated graphics chipsets, I'm all for a little competition.
What I'd realy like to see is an efficient GPU that works without requiring its own powerstation to run and liquid hydrogen to keep cool.
