I linked to the one I went for! Seems to have a higher load capacity than most!

Nice. would be interested in hearing your thoughts on quality.

Still looking myself, but trying to stay away from anything thats going to be a bit cheap and cheerful

Although I also don't have £400 > to spend on a desk right now when I work from home 1 day a week!

Yeah, I work from home most mornings, plus I'm doing way more desk stuff in my spare time, so it's becoming needed!

What's the spec? Looks like GRX 1x from the stock photo. I'm running GRX (in 2x) and I've been very impressed with it.

Forever Evil is going back for a replacement though. The spine was damaged in transit.

Cheap, crappy bookshelf to add more storage. It's functional, I guess, but I've only been able to squeeze 20 books on there. Also, how cursed is that stock photo? Look at it: the bottom "tier" has the book spines mirrored (and get that tea cup off there, you god-damn heathen); the tier above is mirrored and upside-down; above that it's just mirrored again, then the top two are entirely normal. Gah.

Don't think I haven't noticed how they've photochopped out the screws on the two right-hand shelves, either. Mine definitely doesn't look like that.

Does it count as a purchase if you get it for nothing? Let's go with "yes"...

    SCORE!

There's a TON of original games in those disk boxes, as well as the obligatory copied disks (we all did it, don't pretend like you didn't).

But not so fast there. You can't just plug in retro hardware and fire it straight up. I need to thoroughly check everything over first, especially the PSU. I'm going to replace the PSU but it'd be nice to know if it's safe to use in the mean time.

EDIT: Baby Yoda was not part of the haul, he was already there. Clearly he approves though.

A ZipStik and a Powerplay Cruiser? Whoever you got that from had excellent taste in joysticks.

Edit: just a shame that it's an A600. Truly the redheaded stepchild of the Amiga family!

Hey - the A600 has its place. I like mine. It's got PCMCIA! I mean it's no A1200, but it's still epic...

@Byron C have you checked the trapdoor for an expansion?

    Aye. In the bin!

Only joking, it's not a bad machine, just a bit of a pointless one. Can blame Commodore and their amazing combo of penny pinching and terrible marketing for that, though.

I've put a CF and new Kickstart in mine - has made quite a difference (with some more RAM). But - it's no 500.

goes off to look at pictures of A4000Ts

I was never that fussed about the tower models, tbh, they were just silly money and it's not like they were really any better at playing SWOS :D

I say this every single time Amigas get brought up on here, but I really, really need to dig out my A1200, but I'm terrified that it will have become a Varta victim :waah:
