Make assumptions about your neighbours based on their wifi name

    Yeah, comes with a fair bit of crap installed. This is company issue (Z61m) and fortunately the IT guys ditched a lot of it before it reached me and I've since cleaned up a bit more. As for their actual "ThinkVantage" software, can't do much about that but it's fair unintrusive - apart from when it wants to backup.

    Some of you also appear to be missing the point, we don't give a monkeys that there are or are not other folk with wireless in your street, we want you to make wild assumptions about them based on the name :p

    Only one I can find here, but I live in the basement, and can barely connect to a router that's in the room above me.

    WEP'd (token encryption for those who'd try and connect without) and exclusive MAC address access list. No KP for j00b, damned stealers. :p

    aroma - self-confessed geek. Although, what a cool name for a wireless network. Huh? HUH?!

    giddings - collects tea towels and polishes his hair. Has a shed at the bottom of his garden full of spoons.

    broadbandwirelessnetorking (previously braodbandwirelessnetworking) - obviously, the first name given to it was far more interesting. This network is the property of a wench across the street who has a red lightbulb in her kitchen. It's amazing the amount of friends she has.

    gsnetwork - the network of the Gentoo junkie two doors down

    there used to be one called Galaxy with two access points, but it's either out of range or gone.

    Only me on my radar, WPA2-PSK TKIP+AES.... Probably use the old router if I need to set up access for any WEP only devices...

    Some great names, RTT wins the crown tho :hehe:

    i was walking around outside of my school looking for a wireless network so i could go on the web with my psp and i found a network that was called "Robert Sucks"

    got a nice laugh outta that one
