I need to order a couple of bits from the Keyboard Co, but their minimum postage charge is an extortionate £5.40. Anybody planning a purchase in the near future?

Have you contacted them directly - it might be that they'll send stuff using a cheaper method?

I've found them to be fairly unhelpful with small orders in the past.

Well I was going to buy today, but I could hold off, it's only a few keycaps I'm after. Planning a purchase of your own?

Well - I to and fro to Cheltenham reasonably often, and could make a detour via Stroud, but I'm not sure when I'm going next :(

No worries Sam, I'll bite the bullet and pay.

    £5.40 delivery for 8 keycaps - 2nd class recorded...

    Actual cost, under £2 :eyebrow:

It really is. I understand that the majority of things they post are bigger than 8 keycaps, but part of being a good e-commerce site is implementing volumetric/weight based delivery, and not profiting noticeably from it.

Still, they have my money now so whaddamagonnado?

I may have been able to help in a couple of weeks, might have been able to get them delivered to a LAN for free (since they may be sponsoring it anyway) and I'm in Stonehouse so I'm sure getting them to you wouldn't be a problem if you're in Stroud.

Thanks for the offer George, but they're in Stroud and I'm some 60 miles south sadly.

On the plus side (for you), you're only 10 minutes away from the UK's biggest mechanical keyboard stockist.

Sadly that would have cost me £18 in fuel alone :(

How is this so confusing? I'm 60 miles away from Stroud, so a round trip of 120 miles. George is 5 miles away.
