    Stared working on the pump & res base,
    a total remake but just a bit bigger than the 1st one i made and now has a hole for the pump instead of hiding the pump in the bottom compartment

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    the fan was just there to hold the base up as i fitted the carbon, hole will be housing the pump

    Thanks Bladesingerz,

    Ordered myself some black tights ( wife got a bit suspicious when they arrived lol)
    and some thin light wood to make a fan hole cover, this will go on the base of the desk near the PSU, and will eliminate the need for 120mm fan dust covers

    [IMG]

    Here i have covered a old triple RAD fan extension, this will hold the 3 intake fans on the uper right side

    Took some doing, but Finally worked out a way to keep the matrix LED's

    [IMG]

    14/04/2014 - Just noticed i forgot to add the fan photos, so here they are
    CM Jet Flows - plane black no LED's

    [IMG]

    Nice to have 2 speed controllers included with the fan, 1200rpm & 1600rpm

    [IMG]

    forgive the sawdust didn't look that bad without the camera flash lol
    removable rubber ends!, if i had not already cut the wood i would have removed the four fan ends and cut circles not squares as the fans are about the same thickness as the wood and would have looked great.

    Ah, I've just seen the Nomination :D
    That's great, but will it matter that the projects not completed yet?

    You can just about see the LEDs for the matrix cards on the sides near the volts - + buttons
    they can be moved around a bit but i think they look best on the sides

    No it doesn't matter if it's complete yet, motm is about open projects that still have progress happening. it doesn't matter what stage your build is at :)

    Thanks Asouter, i understand now iv had a good look at the other entries :D

    anyway, iv been doing some quick temp tests before i finish of the build,

    here's all my temp info for now -

    CPU @4.6
    GPU's Core @ 1260MHz, Mem @ 1800MHz

    Idle temps = (This test was done after all the 3D marks and gaming)
    CPU = 34c
    GPU1 = 29c
    GPU2 = 30c

    Water Temp before RADs = 26.1
    Room Temp = 22.6
    FANs at lowest settings

    3D Mark (default settings) did 4 tests back to back and until the temps was at the max
    CPU = 58c
    GPU1 = 44c
    GPU2 = 45c

    Water Temp before RADs = 33.3
    Room Temp = 22.1
    FANs at lowest settings

    Heaven Bench did about 3 full tests at max settings back to back and until the temps was at the max
    CPU = 55c
    GPU1 = 39c
    GPU2 = 40c

    Water Temp before RADs = 29.5
    Room Temp = 21.6
    FANs at lowest settings

    1 hr playtime on Grid 2 (maxed out)
    CPU = 54c
    GPU1 = 42c
    GPU2 = 43c

    Water Temp before RADs = 33.1
    Room Temp = 22.3
    FANs at lowest settings

    All this was done with the fans on the lowest settings, as when im gaming without a headset i don't like the noise
    I will do more testing when the desk is done, but for now im more than a bit happy with the GPU temps
    i was hitting 85c and even up in the 90s when i was on air with the fans on 100% and that was only running at 1100MHz on the cores

    The OC on the cards and CPU is stable and i haven't messed with it much during this build, i could probably hit 4.8 on the CPU and possibly 1300 on the GPUs if im lucky

    3D mark score was 12751

    You've made really nice progress with the desk and it's looking good.

    If you've checked my OM thread, you'll know that I really do mean that you work fast :hehe:

    Also laughed at the image of you arguing with your wife on getting new dust filters and how it gives you a good reason to linger in the lingerie section :lol:
