    Did anyone else see the headline and think they'd bought the company for 6 pounds and 6 pence?

    @graphitone - Hehe - yes! The headline in the article makes it clear we're talking about billions, but the Bit-tech front-page did make me wonder whether Microchip had got the bargain of the century :)

    Yeah, the old site had a hard limit for headlines in the CMS: if the headline was too long to properly display, you couldn't enter it. The new site, though, doesn't - so you end up with things like this, because the 'preview' button only shows me the article page (where the headline isn't truncated) and not the main page (where the headline is truncated.)

    Annoying, innit?!
