    Do you know the what the patch number is Gareth ? currently I have 12 updates waiting to be installed by windows update. I only install 2 every other day though, so it's easier to track down which updates have caused what problems.

    Sorry, I should have included that in the article. The Jasbug patch (which, as far as I know, is safe to install) is KB300473; the faulty and now-removed Visual Studio patch is KB3001652. Both codes now added to the article, ta for the prod!

    It seems Microsoft have re-released KB3001652.
    Windows update showed it for me on Tuesday, then it vanished on Wednesday, and now it's back again.

    I'm guessing the Jasbug update is only for 32 bit windows, I just got round to starting the updates and KB300473 wasn't listed.
