any one have any ideas as to what would be acceptable temps for th northbridge ?? mine at th mo idles around 32-33c (hottest thing in me case) and under load goes to at least 39c (keep forgettin to look immediately after game play), probably gonna put a fan over it soon if i can find a small one to 5volt
Unless you are having serious problems, That Temp is not something you really need to worry about too much. Obviously,if you are having a few probs, eg unexplained crashes/errors etc then it is something you could look at again!
yea crashes it is slowed me cpu (1.6a @ 2.13 from 2.51) back down but still get crashes while playin ut goty and ut2k3 ... already upgraded th coolin on me gfx card (bigger hs and now carrying a fan) gf3 ti200.. one fan (60mm x 15mm) behind th mobo drawing room temp air in (took at least 2c off th mobo) .. 2x 80mm adda's intake at th front 1x 80mm adda rear exhaust 1x 120mm panaflo top vent so i think i've managed to get enough air actually movin thru th case.. i just feel that it possibly isn't gettin enough directly across th northbridge hs all other games and apps it seems to be ok even when running sisoft sandra burn in for 100+ cycles .. just seems to be when playin ut it will lock now and then
It only crashes while playing UT? Welcome to UT.... UT (both the first and 2k3) will crash your computer from time to time. It's just somethign that happens with those games, I suffer teh sam eproblem (although 2k3 rarely ever, in fact, only once of twice, but UT did quite a bit) It's just Uscript causing CPU instruction errors. CPU makes a mistake = entire system is dropped.

I doubt it.. I rarely ever get pings below 800........ It's usualyl a fluke I get a good connection..... Also I suck donkeys. In UT I used to 0wn everyone with dual enforcers but there aren't any in 2k3 I usualyl stick to playing the odd bot match, and mostly editing, mapping and such.... Unfortunately Unrealed 3 won't run
