    That's some killer hardware Franklin!

As for the NB block...I've heard mixed reviews as far as its reliability. A friend of mine has the same board and his block leaked, but in ASUS's defense, said friend re-pasted everything on the motherboard so who's not to say he didn't damage the block somehow during that process. Personally, I'm a nit-picky perfectionist type of guy and I'd put an aftermarket block on it for no other reason than just to color-match my CPU block... At least I can say that here and not be labeled 'insane' ...I think :worried:

Yes this is the right place to say things like that ;) I chose my motherboard because of its color and the position of the connectors and everything, so I think I'm just as 'insane' :hehe:

I made a simple housing to mount the harddisks. Just two plates of aluminium and acrylic.

Now it's time to place the harddisks into the harddisk box, the box with the RC shocks. To prevent the harddisk from sliding in the box I glued some acrylic onto the bottom and to, some sort of rail.

The harddisks slide in between the acrylic rail and are being stopped at the end by another piece of acrylic.

From the backside of the case I can slide the harddisk into the box.

To prevent the harddisk from sliding out again I made something else. Just two acrylic blocks glued onto the acrylic that will cover the backside of the box.

The acrylic will be mounted with 4 small bolts.

Need to mount the logo, at the moment it's being kept in place with some sticky tape and need to add some leds on the backside of the logo, so from inside the harddiskbox.

Seriously nice work on the HDD rack. That orange plei grill really ties the whole thing together.

Are you still using the decorative panel on the HD case? I really liked it.

No I'm not going to use it Cheapskate.

Before I start working on the watercooling I needed to test my hardware, but not before I mounted some leds in the harddisk box. I used 18 leds and these leds will shine on the back of the FJW logo. I used some acrylic to guide the wires a bit.

I needed enough clearance for the harddisk holder, because it needs to slide into the box. On the right side you can see there enough room between the wires/leds and the harddisks.

The top of the box is mounted with small hexheaded bolts and not glued, because I need to be able to reach the leds in case a led dies and needs to be replaced. The blue you see is from the Tagan powersupply, I need to replace those leds with white ones ofcourse.

To test the hardware I installed Windows on the Velociraptor harddisk. No problems at all, so I'm ready for the next step, the watercooling setup.

That stands for Franciscus Johannes Wilhelmus. Strange names that you get when being baptised as a baby. I'm a atheist but I'm stuck with those names till I die :eyebrow: But the first letters of those names are perfect as a logo.

Because I changed my hardware plans, I needed to use a heavier powersupply. The problem was that the cables from the new Tagan PSU are somewhat differently situated on the psu, so I needed to make some new brackets for the cables. This time I used some black anodized aluminium from AC Ryan and transparant orange acrylic, instead of the white sheets I used for the old brackets.

The cables in the picture above are the standard sleeved Tagan cables, but that will change soon. I will use some tubing to cover them and this will also make it possible to pl;ace the cables in an almost perfect straight line.
On the left side of the picture you can see 4 cables going through an aluminium sheet. I needed to make holes in the sheet that were big enough to pull the cables through, but that was a problem because that would mean there was a gap between the cables and the holes. So I made an acrylic parts that fits tight around the cables and can be opened on the left and right side to pull the cables through.

Really don't know that. I want to finish it just before december, but there is still a lot of work to do. Painting all the polyester parts, some cablemanagement, installing the watercooling parts and ofcourse some things that are just for the looks. I have got I nice idea how to use the mirror acrylic from AC Ryan :naughty:, the acrylic that you can only see through when there is light behind it.

wooooo! That is a properly cool HDD rack ya got there, ace work! As said the orange and black really looks the part, looking forward to seeing this done, bets of luck getting it done for xmas time. I haven't seen the ACRyan Mirror used in many mods yet, it does look really cool but prone to smudges and fingerprints. It might tint what is inside too much though obscuring the detail
Out of interest what do you use to polish your acrylic? After sawing

I love the orange grill.. looks so tasty I want to chew on it!! 8D¨ FJW logo and the whole compartment looks fantastic too!!
I was kind of sad hearing that you will cover the PSU cables with tubing.. I think it looks really good the way it is... don't really understand why, cause it is a mix of colors.. but still I do like it... perhaps I'm just tired. *shrugs* I hope it will look even better with the tubing.

    Keep up the good work!
