ehm.. those fans looks like they'll reduce airflow way more then the ones y_N_e_M_a sugested, in my humble opinion ;] you might wanna think about that if your after preformance/silence. but hey! they are sexy indeed. a bit bling-bling never hurts. the more chrome - the better looking case ! good work, my fellow modder. keep it up. i'll follow this one
Thanks mate. I apreciate all comments! Yeah, I wonder If I'll go for this instead, but since the fangrills and fans are just for the looks, the effect isn't that importand The bad thing about this fangrill is that it comes in gold, and not chrome... so maybe I'll have to spraypanit it with chrome spray. I'm open to all suggestions
I like to talk English so others can read what we are saying, hehe. So you're a norwegian living in belgium? As for the sketchups, I thought exporting removed geometry and construction lines automaticly, but obviously not. Anyway, edit => hide construction geometry should fix that. Keep up the planning
Thanks. Ill try that for the next projects Yeah I live in belgium because my dad is an officer in NATO. so I'm attending at an american/international high school inside the NATO base. tha bad thing about living here is that it's hard to find the parts I need. therefor I order most of my parts from the US. Since my dad work in an american base, we don't have to pay tax for the parts we buy. only shipping Happy liberation day by the way (17th of may is Norway's national day).
thanks, i'll remember that. til now i have only painted the inside og my case and it's suposed to be kind of dim black. the outside will be (if every thing goes after the plan) black with a morror finnish. I'm wondering If I should make a 120mm fanhole in the front so I will be able to install another radiator if I need it but since I will have my water tank and my pump in front, I thnik it will be a very tight fit... maybe too tight.
Good work. Any detail you can provide on any of these steps is always helpful. So many times people just assume that we know the basic steps of a project and they just show pictures after something is painted / cut or otherwise modded. I would not mind seeing the process whenever you can. It looks like your idea will make for a very nice case. Good luck.
hehe thanks both of you Ok mondak, I think you're right, and I will from now on update with pics more often i can show you what I've cut out so far... thanks for the hint
OK here's a little update. I just installed the motherboard and my water cooling parts. When you look at these pictures you have to imagine a Danger Den RBX block on my cpu and a Z-chip block on my chipset. and I will also have uv green water dye in those pipes Hope it will turn out sweet well here goes: As you can see, I have mounted the pump right under the 3,5" slots. I did this by simpy drilling holes and attaching the pump eith screws and bits. (yes the reason I painted it black was to stelthen it because I wanted to place it behind the tank and didn't want it to steal the attension ). That radiator could surely need a coat of paint... [writing on my "to do" list] Paint the radiator black [/writing on my "to do" list] I inserted an old monitor card just to show you the distance between the radiator and the motitor card. (yes that is my wallet the tank is standing on ) That's all for now. maybe I'll take some pictures of my side door tomorrow (although I'm ot finished cutting it). Have a good night
Spraypaint the girl grill black, to make a good contrast. Just a thought. I love your idea. See you at school tomorrow.
good idea, but I'm going to keep it the way it is. Since the RBX and Z-chip block comes with chrome fittings, and the fans I'm going to buy are chrome/silver aswell. therefor I think it will look quite nice
Thanks! And yeah aquacomputer do have a lot of cool and good products, but they are a bit too expecive atleast in norway. Go germany, but sell things cheaper
Hi all! I had planned to do some modding to day, but since I had 4 tests (yes tests, not quizes) today, and since I studied til 3 o clock last night, I will go to bed urly. *exhausted* But I have got goooood news (at least for me)! my dad has found this car styling shop down town. so on friday I'll go there to buy some of their best pollishm and some nice and shiney gloss spray paint, and last but not least bondo! (well I hope they have bondo, since the tool shop didn't have anything fine-grainded.) What brand do you guys use? are there anything special I should look for? what pollish is the best? do I have to use a primer to get a mirror finish? Lots of questions from a newbie (as some of you may have noticed from the title, this is my first mod )
YEAY! I've finished cutting the side door!!!! I need to sand it before I'll panit it though. Pics vil come VERY VERY soon! (whitin an hour?)
