I like #2 better as a design, but it doesn't look as "cop" to me as #1. I'd go with #1.

Agreed. If you're going for the old school cop car look from the 80s, I think you're better off going with the first one. If you're looking for a "faster looking" machine, black and white are the wrong colors.

    The results are in!

My deisgn of a straight line down the middle received 11 Votes....

Larrs27 design of a diagonal line from back to front received 13 Votes!

So the next question before I start painting is: Do I stick with Larrs original idea or go a bit wider?

    Larrs27 original?

    Wider?

I like the handcuffs idea. Will it fit? Maybe you should polish them up nicely so they shine! What will you be using as the fan grills inside the cuffs?

Oh I like your design, and make it give a high-voltage shock and call 911 to anyone that fail to pass the finger print scan to turn the machine on. hehe (evil)

The cuffs are nice! The small stripe looks alot better. About the grills I would gett something like black mesh, metal net or something. Just so you dont take to much attention from the cuffs. gl keep posting :)

i personally think that the entire side panel should be white with a "POLICE" on it, as well as a wide stripe of white with some numbers on the top, make it look like a real police car. something like this:

for the handcuffs, a badge in one and a cutout of a nightstick and a handgun in the other would look pretty cool.

edit: i just thought of another idea: making the top lights the power and re-set buttons. push down on the left to turn it on and push down on the right to restart it. also, you could put strobe lights inside the case for a cool lighting effect, make a cage around the psu with K-9 painted on the side, and put a bumper gaurd on the front

You have a whole lot of really good ideas, keep reminding me as the project rolls along. I also have an expandable ASP Baton I can use too, any ideas?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice, but too military (or SWAT) and less Cop

Wider Stripe with the Handcuffs wins by a longshot. I'm about to start painting, but first I need to know: What color do I paint the inside? I thought maybe white, but what do you think?

    A. Black
    B. White
    C. Other (You say!)

I would go for nice vertical bars as fan guard (prsion bars?) with a small sherif star in the middle.
