Hello bit-tech community and welcome to my new project

In cooperation with ASUS i'm going to build a system to show off their new Z170 Sabertooth Mark 1 motherboard. I'll be using the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX since it fits the look of the motherboard very well. Of course i'm going to mod it! The color scheme is going to be grey-orange :)

    This project is supported by:
    ASUS
    Coolforce
    Bitfenix
(Logos will be added in a few days)

First i want to show you the board, a big thanks to ASUS for sending me this awesome piece of hardware!:)

The last thing that arrived this week, i think this should be enough power!

I really hope you like this project so far, there will be more updates the next days!
    Cheers!

    Update

Yesterday i got 2 big packages including a lot of watercooling stuff :)
Because i'm currently working on two build, i got 2 pumps, 2 CPU blocks etc.

i really like the new design of the EK stuff

Let's take a look at the radiator, since i only watercool the CPU this should be enough

I wanted to use DDC pumps again and i found a great deal, a complete kit
including the pump itself, a new plexi top with G1/4 threads, metal case and decoupling

Let's move on to the blocks, my favourite part :)

The Thermosphere is for my other project.
So i got two different CPU Blocks and i'm not sure which one i should use for this project.
    Tell me what you think!

    The last part, the reservoir
not much to say about i think

Can't wait to start building the loop!

    Cheers!

    depending on coolant color, lighting and other variables i would say;

clear cpu block with a dark-ish coolant

or give the black one a textured matte black coat to fit in more with the mobo and case.
i would think the black block (as is) would look out of place on the mobo and being too shiny (depending on lighting etc...)

that mobo and that case goes so well together, as stated above, it would be a pity to disturb that synergy

    Update

A few days ago i received a big package from Coolforce containing a huge amount of Hard Tube Fittings, Pure 'n Power coolant, unique mixed dye, 12mm PETG Tubes and a rubber core for bends. Compared to other fittings i've used in the past they look and feel VERY good, also does the PETG Tube.

Just a little overview, you can see a bigger version of this image on my FB page, but i'll also upload it to imgur later.

and these are Coolforce Cubes, 5x G1/4 Female

Going to build a little test piece to mix the coolant and test in under UV light.
Really looking forward building the loop with these fittings!

Painting it matte black is a good idea, i'm going to test both blocks how they look installed!

    Cheers! :)

    Update

So i build a little test piece using some fittings and tube to see what the coolant looks like and it turned out pretty amazing. After the outdoor shooting i took a rigid UV LED strip from Nanoxia.. See yourself! :D

    Update

Took off the cooler and disassembled it to change the illuminated Strix logo.
Since i want every red part to be orange in end i bought LEE 135 Deep Golden Amber filter foil which i put behind the acrylic after i sand down the red at the back of it.
Looks pretty cool already imo, but i want to put a "980Ti" decal behind the acrylic so it doesn't look that empty. :)

    Update

hi again, today i want to show you my first design for the new 980ti backplate!
the brighter parts will be decals which create another layer, i hope you like it :)

I tried to take the design of the Motherboard fortifier and use it on the backplates, i think it turned out pretty well.
Also my acrylic sheets arived, these will be used for the in and outside of the case, stay tuned!

    Cheers!

    Update

Yeah i know, didn't update this for nearly 3 weeks now. Had some other stuff to do, but i still have worked a bit on the mod.
First i bought a Dremel DSM20, great tool to cut acrylic!

And i worked on the backplate design, i think the first one was too boring, tell me what you think

I'll do my best to start working on the waterloop at the weekend.

    Cheers! :)
