I just have a request.
Could you by any chance take a picture of MCE V.2 next to V.1?

Also, did you get any performance hit from using the pci-e x16 riser?

Hmm... I'll do it next time I get V2 down to my workshop. The V1 is currently hooked up to my CNC so I'd like to keep it there for the moment. I did snap a quick pic comparing the V2 to a 50cl can, just so you'll get a hint of the size.

It's not something I "feel" when using it. It scores about 9-10k in 3DMark06, and with a 4800+ I'd say that's pretty respectable.

its alot deeper than i expected, but still cool!

i have been toying with the idea of ripping your idea off, but to use an old laptop and my 24in screen, then i realised it would basically be an imac..

 

Think we could have two pics straight from the side and the front (looking at the screen), with the beer can standing at the same distance from the camera?? I know it's boring to take pics like that, but it would make it easier to judge the size more accurately. =)

 

Nice. It looked kinda bulky in the previous pics compared to the V.1. But at this angle (and with the beer can as a measure of comparison) it looks really good, nice and compact

Your attention to detail is an inspiration, a lot of people make great mods but some of them just have those extra touches that make them superb. I really love the case, I've been wanting to do something similar for a long time but as yet I don't have the money

First off I had to feed my lasercut panel to the dremel, the hole on the back is just not wide enough for the display to fit.

I decided to stealth the display behind a piece of ACRyan Mirror2 two-way mirror.



I know... Alot of greese n dust in this pic.
