  1. Paint the mesh and polish or chrome the grill.

    Hi Guys!

Thanks for all the nice reactions :thumb: and my first stars :D

Indeed it is really big, but it will be very easy to seperate both cases as they are only connected with some screws.
And the wire connections that wil be between the cases will not be permanently soldered but with connectors for easy disconnecting, but even then both will be heavy, a empty stacker is allready about 18kg.
I don't know how much phasechange weighs? but how heavy was your case?

I'm of to do some modding :dremel:

    Regards, Bas van der Werff.

    Window layout

    Hi Guys!

Today i made a first design in sketchup of the window layout.
First i'll show the designs and after that give some explanation to go with it.

    Left side:

    Right side:

The red parts are meshX, i actually designed meshX in sketchup but i didn't put it in place because of two reasons.

1 Even the small parts seen behind the grill make it very slow to work with, because the model allready contains about 125563 edges and 6524 faces and that slows stuff down.
2 The holes are only visible when i zoom in very close, so it has no use for the picture, the mesh behind the grill also shows up like a flat black surface, actually it was a lot of work for nothing :wallbash:

    But back to the design...
As you can see on the left 2 nice big windows to show the "guts" of the systems and 2 meshX "windows" because i didn't want the real window that big but i still wanted something there.
On the right another 2 meshX "windows" with the project name on them probably the letters will be polished aluminium or stainless steel.
The dark grey parts you see next to the letters are the standard perforated pieces in the side panel possibly some meshX behind them to or just some smoked plexi.

Any sugestions on the design of the windows are very welcome because there are no cuts made jet so everything is still possible.

    Regards, Bas van der Werff

p.s. can anyone tell me how to close a poll?

I like the way it looks but i can't make this for the left side because the stacker allready has a big round hole in that side when you buy one (check out the picture in my first post)
Maby i'll use it for the other side thanks for the idea :thumb: also a question for you in what kind of shop did you get that nice mesh you have? i really like it.

Bas you can probably get that mesh in a car tuning shop as well, ask for 'racegaas'.

looking very nice,i love huge cases,i have very large hands and it's very hard for me to work in small cases. unless the mobo tray slides in and out.
