Thanks Jakoslav.. Love_or_Hate the theme..Thanks just the same.. All my projects are "dark-side" stuff...MY MO.. Paint is all but done.. Just a final rub-out and wax.. I will post some pictures ASAP....
Paint Update OK.. three coats of PPG DCU2010 speed clear on all the panels. Then wet-sand (again) with 2000grit paper.. Rubbing Compound: Rubbing compound is (basically) liquid sand-paper..Perhaps 3-4000grit..I rubbed the front panel__out by-hand (5-10 minutes).. It needs more work (with a 2500rpm buffer)..BUt "we got shine".. Next up: liquid glaze (like 5000grit sand-paper) then wax...... last picture:
loving the paint job, I'm going to go though your thread and read though how you did the paint job as I have just taken apart an old P2 case I've had here for yrs and wanna really do a good paint job on this one Keep up the good work
It will (should) get even better with more buffing..I only spent a few minutes buffing (by hand) w/rubbing compound. The 3M compound is designed to be used with a electric buffer. I just have not had the time..So all the panels need: buff-out with rubbing compound polish (by hand) with glaze wax with paste wax
Preview I finished the buffing and waxing on the case yesterday. A preview picture: I will update ASAP..
This is looking really great, i love the black and neon green. Looking foward to seeing how this case looks finished.
Great Job the MS, my wife just loves the case, well as a matter of fact I do to, but she has a thing for green anyway. Anyway. Just a quick question if you get a breather, what would be a good water block for the A64 4000+San Diego core. I would like to use 1/4 ID compression fittings. Just a small insight I am rather new to the water-cooling scene. Thanks for any help and great job.
I am glad you and yours like the case. I have a folder full of new pictures (that need to be resized/uploaded) for the next update. I just have not had the time, this weekend perhaps. IMO, there is nothing better than Aqua-Computer They have three models in there line-up that would work for you, the newest one being the Cuplex XT.. Wes @ Sharka can get you any AC gear you need..Just email him for special order (non-stock) items.. Check ou the bit-tech extreme cooling forum for lots of H20 cooling information and best of luck..
18 new pictures: Polishing OK, the update is all buffing-polishing and waxing. That is it...Next we turn these panels back into a computer case. So the case will be reassembled and waxed one last time...Next weekend.
