Is Joe currently on 24 hour Church of England watch? Forum discussions getting complicated with about 4 or 5 threads on pretty much the same story.

wow this is getting really sad recently they know on a legal standpoint they've lost so they will try to use their power to persuade sony to donate to them otherwise because we all know the church needs more money and attention

    I think this is stupid!!!

This is just a silly, petty, I mean come on where else do u get do blow a church up but in a virtual world, no one gets hurt for real Mr.Blair (boy I cannot wait till that T**T steps down).

If the church had anything to do with video games industry they would be like the ones Rod & Todd play in The Simpsons.....LOL

Get over it already, sheesh. They're just trying to get a big donation in their pockets - they have no grounds to actually stand on now and that's why they're resorting to the public.

I don't think that Tony Blair gave his support, all he gave were a few non sequiturs about social responsibility and profit.

The CoE has already lost the argument by making it out to be a much bigger problem than it really is. Too many column inches, not enough story.

    No, don't be silly!

Jesus is a zombie [i.e., dead --> come back to life = zombie], so he'll rise from the earth, remove an arm and then bitch-slap Sony...

This game is not that offensive. If Blair's pissed, Ban the game and some entertainment freedoms of English citizens (although he can't afford to do anything wrong at this stage in his career).

The Church of England should merely counter with an Xbox 360 game entitled: Resistance , the fall of morales, showing something something with stuff.

lol. shouldn't the church of ENGLAND be addressing said problems and concerns solely in the country of it's namesake?

Oh, I thought it was because the Japanese make games for Sony, or make most of the games as such. I would have thought that having Japanese support would prove useful in stopping games like these and not just having a model of the Church of Enlgand in a game. TBH I probably don't know enough about this, but I'm just throwing the idea out there.

Shooting in churches is allowed, the Church just gets whiny. I'm sure the Rabbis would get pissed if it happened in a synagogue and the muslim priests would get annoyed if it happened in a mosque. They probably have in the past too, but an institution formed of mainly white middle class men? The mass media listens to that a lot more than they will to minority groups.
