Does Sean Bean actually make it to the end of any film or TV show alive? (apart from Sharpe)

    Yes...

Ronin, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Troy and Silent Hill spring to mind... though in a couple of those it's barely more than a cameo appearance...

I meant to post this one too actually. I've been on a Group B binge over the last few days. It's still, at least in my opinion, the pinnacle of 4 wheeled motorsport.

Group B and old Group A footage reminds me of my childhood. Dad followed the WRC religiously when I was a youngster, as well as F1, so as a result I watched them too. There are still VHS tapes full of recorded coverage from WRC events from the 1980s and 1990s in their attic which lived in our TV cabinet all through my childhood and which I've watched many, many times! Both rallying and F1 have both changed so much that he doesn't follow them any more. He could hardly tell you who was competing for the championship in either sport at the moment.

In the process of looking up multimeter reviews for a friend who is starting out as an electronic engineer, I came across this hilariously over-dubbed 289 overview :hehe:

I've personally done 45mph on a longboard. He's doing at least 55 in a lot of those shots.

He is apparently doing about 60mph when he stacks it at the end of the video. Guy needs some leathers on!

I enjoy long boarding but I now have sweaty palms. That's just mental. So crazy fast. That said I like my longboard more as a faster way of getting around than walking rather than for extreme sports..... I'm that lazy.

Is it bad that I laughed when the guy fell off and skidded along the road? Then re-watched that bit several more times...

    Very.

Trucks were too loose to begin with with, wobble caused because of lack of stability.

I prefer sitting down on skate boards, less chance of having no face/hands/arms/knees left; I invented street luge I swear, back in the 80s.... :worried:

He really should be wearing leathers. I've crashed a few times at ~30mph. It doesn't take much to take a lot of skin off. After one friend had to get a skin graft and couldn't go swimming all summer, we all quit going as hard and just went cruising.

I used to do that as a kid. Me and a friend would sometimes sit next to each other on our skateboards and hold on to each other as we pelted down hills. The accidents were hilarious. I have fond memorys of skidding off into someones garden and then going flying (literally) through a bush when the trucks hit the grass.

Sounds like you did the right thing. I know from minor accidents on bicycles/skateboards just how easy it is to burn off skin. I dread to think of doing that at 60mph!
