my next car will most likely be a jeep cherokee XJ

i like the styling for some reason, and it would be more suited to the awful winter weather over by me than my RWD V8 lincoln yacht car

though my reasonable dream car is a mk1 toyota MR2

no chance of me finding a clean one close to where i live though...

My next car (or rather the wife-to-be's) will probably be something like a Subaru XV. Practical enough for every day use, with some road clearance and 4WD for the limited off-roading we do (basically beaches and farm roads).

After that, I really want to find a Mk1 VW Bus (the split windows), and do a rebuilt/conversion with that for my Mum's 65th in 10 years (before that would be too optimistic). 4WD is a requirement there.

Call me crazy, but a Caterham doesn't really appeal to me all that much. Don't get me wrong, in my virtual garage of a dozen or so vehicles it would be there, but not as the solitary weekender. I'd be looking more along the lines of an R8 or Vantage - something civil enough for the occasional road trip or shopping outing.

    Classic:

    1967 El Dorado
    1967 El Camino
    1967 Camaro (track car)

That should round out my 1967 collection.

    Modern:

My Colorado is due for a refresh, so I'm debating a 2015 Siverado or a 2015 Colorado. I'm torn, but I have a few months do decide. I'm also weighing a 2015 ATS-V, but I think that might be my wife's next car. As for more modern project, I'm still wanting to build up a track car based off the Pontiac Solstice.

    All very doable. lol.

Hmmm... I wanted an E30 m3... But as time goes by it seems unlikely. Even the rotten ones are 15k.

I know what you mean about the noise. When stationary it does sound like a van, which completely contradicts the looks. It's better when it gets going, but yeah, the sound of a v6 is a symphony. You would loose more that 10mpg however...

Just did a quick look on autotrader and there is a bunch of V6 Q4s at 6-7k. What else can you get for that money?

Greys are pretty classy. I saw one with Anthracite wheels... wow. 20,000 miles is pretty good for tyre wear. Did you get the wheels aligned?

a 60's GT (or replica of one).
Which one will depend on how wel I do...

if I win euromillions... multiple times
    1965 Aston Martin DB5
    1969 Lamborghini Miura S
    1962 Aston Martin DB4 GT
    1955 Ferrari 750 Monza Spyder
    1968 Ferrari 275 GTB/4
    1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder
1963 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso
    1968 Ford GT40 Gulf
    1965 Shelby 427 (semi)Competition Cobra
    196* Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe
    1966 Lamborghini 400 GT2+2

    also, because I'm a 90's kid:
    1986 Porsche 959
    1991 Ferrari F40
    1993 Porsche 993 Turbo

If I only win euromillions once
1963 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso

    Realistically, if I do well
    Shelby 427 Cobra -- REPLICA -- hopefully with a nice V8/V6

I know it's a love-it-or-hate-it car, but I've always loved the Plymouth Prowler. They aren't too expensive, and I'm too practical to own a car that I didn't plan on driving at least once a week, so this is something that I could own and not be afraid to drive. I've never been in one, and I'm 6'4" (193cm), so provided I fit in it, I'd love to own one.

    Other cars that are a little more impractical/expensive . . .

    Ford GT replica
'69 Charger or '70-'74 Plymouth HemiCUDA (converted)

Plymouth Prowler sounds like a sex offender from Devon.

Wow somebody's been digging down the back of the sofa looking for loose bits of old threads.

Looks like speedbumps would put pay to many of these :)

My realistic car fantasy would definitely have to be a Mitsubishi GTO, in grey.
