I just got my E6600 with the Intel® Desktop Board DQ965GF motherboard last week. Now I am one of the many that can't get WinXP to see both cores in the taskmanager. Does anyone know of any special drivers or something that could wake WinXP up? Thanks in advance!
Start task maganer Select {Performance} tab {View} {CPU History} {One Graph Per CPU} Under "CPU Usage History" there should be two graphs If you select {One Graph, All CPUs} the bar in the center of "CPU Usage History" goes away. Other than that I see no other indication of 2 CPUs on my system (e6300)
It says I have two processors, which is correct in a way. Also, I do have it set to display two graphs for each CPU but I still only see one.
Yes, it does show the Multiprocessor ACPI thingy. I've checked A LOT of topics about this yet none of them seem to have any answers. I hope Intel or Microsoft come up with something and quick.
FIXED!!! I don't know EXACTLY how but I think it's because I downloaded and installed the Intel Desktop Utilities version 3 from the Intel web site. Since I ran a few tests with it it DOES show two CPU's in the taskmanager!
YAY! I don't know about these forums but the forums over at Tweakers.net (Dutch site, much like Bit-Tech only with more news on a daily basis) are being flooded with these kind of topics.
