Photos Wooden Crossbows - Video

A while back I made some wooden crossbows* out of mahogany and red oak (the ones seen in the video thumbnail). Those were just for my daughter and me to run around the house and shoot each other with Nerf darts. Of course once my mother-in-law saw them she asked for a set for my nephews. I decided to take the opportunity to make a video of the build (these were made with ash and pecan). That was last Christmas, and I finally got around to editing the video

*Yeah yeah, I know they're technically sling shots, but since they're shaped like crossbows it makes them about 20% cooler.

 

Slingshot or crossbow, still very cool and excellent woodwork skills.

Wish I had the skill to create something like this......

Just need to make sure my boy doesn't see this or he will want one.....
