Oh my god! Do I see some dremel-skills or what? I really like this one a lot! Those bumps look awesome with and even without leds, keep goin' mate! And there's nothing wrong in being 17, I hope, 'cause I'm still 16 ;-)
Hey Craig, if you ever need any of my sweet hacking skills or real tools(i.e. drillpress, ban saw, table saw, sanders...) let me know. Nice dremel work.
Thanks jbowles, but I do have a drill press and sanding shouldn't be too much a problem, but I'll let ya know if I do
Hey all, sorry for the lackage of updates but I have been quite busy as of late. Right now as i am typing this i am at the National Youth Leadership Forum on Technology. There are also about 1600 people here too!!! Anyways, right now i am sitting in a room with about 50+ comps in it all playing either ut 2004 or cs. I uploaded a few pics of some of my progress before i left sso hopefully i can do an on-the-fly update sometime soon. I am here for a total of 10 days before getting back home (July 6th). Look for a small update soon!
hey cool another person from misery, er missouri. any ways sweet looking mod i am looking forward to the updates
Decisions Decisions! Ok, hey everyone. Smal lil update out here in wonderful San Jose! Time to start making some more decisions about this case, and this is gonna be a big one..... paint time. Enough talk, on to pictures! This would be the main color pallet that i came up with, and NO that is not black in the 6th spot, it was actually called "true blue" and if you look closely it does have blue..... Heres a different angle I think I have prolly rounded it down to either 1 or 2 so here are some different view of just those: Now, keep in mind these are just the paint it's self, i haven't polished or finished any of it, just want to get the color first. And also, paint 1 is just a flat single color while paint 2 has an entire metallic finish that changes in the light. Now for some other random pics! These are some I just took when i applied some primer to the bumps to get em ready The primer To paint these lil buggers i set them on top of the bases i cut them off of After a quick sanding, it makes quite a difference even though this is sandable primer and has a lot of texture And thats just about it for this update! My leds should be here when I get back home wednesday and i can get started with those. So, i would greatly appreciate your input on color choices! Thanks
metallic #2 gets my vote, my second choice would be #5 cuz it seems "fun" you should test em out with the blue LEDs and see what you think (i would think the metallic would look badass with those LEDs)
If you'd like to keep it as close as possible to the original bottle, definitly #1. #2 looks better though.
