good laugh...nice to see XFX sponsoring this kinda shizzle. their logo makes an appearence in the show logo if you look carefully
lol looks pretty lame in first.. but i watched the episode and was pretty funny personally i think they should pimp is old case rather than make a new one also i would have pretured if the monitor was seprated from the base, but thats me
Great acting... "lagger" Arent they supposed to be "supping up" his old pc? They didnt use anything by the looks of it (maybe the case), and they didnt really show any of the build process, the interesting part. Wasnt very radical either if you ask me, seeing as they have a whole team of profesional people Oh well im going to bed...
I haven't piped up in a while... the struggles of working a real day job and raising a toddler, but now I'm on the 'evening shift' so I have time to do 'real work' like surf bit and watch 'cheesy' computer modding shows online!!!! I was actually entertained by it.... It was very cheesy and they were awful actors but I was entertained! So I guess it wasn't too bad, eh? -Fiz
Rescue E-mail sent! I linked them to BlackMesa, Hypercube, and ORAC^3. If that doesn't convince them that there are better ways to mod, I don't know what will.
I knew someone would do it, I just knew it. The problem with this sort of thing is that the kind of person that wants their computer modded (to any substantial degree) wants to do it themself. Moreover, there is nowhere near as many options to 'pimp my puter' as there are for 'pimp my ride', computers are such a limited form of modding in comparison to such parallels as motorvehicles that people will only see what they cant do and not what they can. I think the main problem with the idea of this programme is that they did not mod the computer, they made it glow, added some branded items of little invention. In action the acting is bad, the pilot is clearly scripted, the products are all in one way or another paying for the show through advertising by either using name brand like XFX or most probably charging for adspace for such as crucial ram. Wont last longer than the pilot, computer fanboi's can be nieve, but they're not retarded (well.. thats largely debatable, but still the concept holds)
What can I say.. americans Those people were anoing.. and that one man spoke shi*. SLI doens't double the power and the monitor..
Just saw the show... That's sad. That's really, really sad. The poor chap had never imagined a computer with a flip-up monitor. Obviously, he's never heard of a laptop. Please, we Americans aren't all that dense. See Redwood 3.0 for proof.
to be perfectly honest, I dont see anyone apart from marketeers and/or advertising 'ladies of the night' getting such. Besides, I have yet to see them pimp a system, so far they took an old 'puter, trashed it, kept the frame and bolted on a tonne of brandage and marketing.
