I've asked here before months ago, but here's another which is more detailed

Does anyone know where I can get M3 X 70MM or M4 X 70MM size socket counter sunk screws anywhere? I prefer M3 size!

For reference: M stands for the width/thickness of the screws, MM stands for millemetre of course which is the length of the screws.

I've asked over at A2 A4 Fittings, they've been helpful, but after a few weeks they were unable to supply the fittings in the size which I bought M3, M4 X 60MM shown below in both counter sunk and socket cap format from that shop, I need 70MM counter sunk ideally to mount my radiator:

A sneak preview of what I'm doing :p

Above is the picture of how I want the radiator to be mounted, the fittings goes from the top of the case, through the radiator where there's space inbetween the fins to do so, as the fins are spreaded and secured at the bottom of the radiator :)

Please help as these screws are delaying my project month after month! :waah:

Or, can anyone suggest an alternative method of mounting my radiator?

I don't know of any places local to you, but McMacter-Carr over here in New Jersey has them (and just about every other screw conceivable) if you are desperate.

Hrmm, that is a hard find....

While I can easily translate your length, would a similar bolt in the Standard system suit your needs? We have a local shop that sells just about any odd nut or bolt you could need, but most of it is in Standard. I'll stop and take a look, and see if I can get them for ya, but then you'll have to pay for shipping for the US....so I dunno if you want to do that.

Thanks for the reply, I've checked McMaster-Carr, their smallest width (M size) is M6, I've come across a shop called HUI Robbe USA that my friend gave me, which they have the fittings, but it's socket cap which I don't mind :)

HellRazor, please do look, I don't mind paying for the fittings and shipping! :)

Will do! It prolly won't be until Sunday, as I have a Eye Doctor appointment in about 30 minutes to see if my eye is healing correctly, and then I get to work the rest of the day, and all day Tomorrow!

But I need some low profile bolts for my project (and more hardener cream for my bondo) so I'll check it out on Sunday!

Try looking up part number 91290A190 at McMaster. Isn't that what you're looking for?

Thanks zackbass, unfortunately the finish is in black oxide, I suppose that's black? I would have taken it if Aqua Computer had black coloured grills :(

It appears that they only have that size and length in one finish :(

I had threaded rods in the first place, sorry for not mentioning in the post :(

I would have to use these:

It doesn't look as nice as the fittings I'm looking for now :waah:

    How bout this ?

How about M4, 80 mm, flat head, phillips drive, zinc plated!
McMaster Carr # 91420A290. In stock @ 9.99 US per pack of 25. You may have more luck searching for machine screws instead of cap screws.
They don't have a socket head, but a man riding by on horseback would never notice! :D

    Chers

They told me they would check there catalogs, for special order, as they didn't have them on hand...still waiting for a call back.....

But I wouldn't give your hopes up....especially because special order is prolly expensive as hell. If I get a chance, I'll check out an old salavge place..they sell all kinds a weird nuts and bolts, but its hit or miss...but who knows...it maybe a hit! But its a bit out of my way, so when I'm headed that way again I'll look.

    Sorry for not replying! :(

I did not get an email notification about my own topic :waah:

I've asked for my own order before, but sadly the minimum amount is a thousand approximately :worried:

Thanks for trying HellRazor! :thumb: :dremel:

Sorry for bumping an old topic :(

I had two quotes from NSSS asking for £125 just for 25 screws and £60 from R.A.Poole & Co for a different size which was M4 X 70 for 100 pieces :waah:

Any more suggestions are welcome :sigh:

M4 ain't bad. I carefully drilled out my BIX holes (3mm) to 4mm and the M4s fit a treat then.
