    Kipman725 Thanks! :D

I did a little bit more bondo work today :naughty:

I decided to clean up the base a bit, where I had added the risers.

    Reference pic from earlier:

I used some bondo to fill it in:

Then some sanding and a coat of paint:

It needs some clean up work and a little bit more bondo in a few spots, but it is getting there. My roommate told me I was wasting my time and noone would notice the difference, but I would notice the difference so I did it anyway lol. :sigh:

Sidenote: I hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th weekend. (even you brits :hehe: )

I have worked out my printable water decals.

My "billboard" HD case will have a full decal on it looking like this:
note: all the white will be clear and show the brushed aluminum of the HD case
    [IMG]

I also cut out a spot for the mobo back plate to fit:

I finalized the placement for my random light stuff switches and drilled some holes for them to go. The switches are just plain black circle shaped rocker switches. (pictured somewhere earlier in the thread)

I have finished painting and clearcoating and I started attatching everything together.

These photos dont really show the finish well and are rather oddly angled but oh well.

Cool, another Vassini project! Sorry dont understand how I missed this one till now...

I've looked all over town (in my area) and could not find any water slide decal material. Would you mind sharing where you got it? I wanted to use them for 'Perforated' but got tired of looking.... TIA

Look at your local hobby shop in the model department or in a store that deals with models. (model cars, planes, trains and stuff)

Testors makes the ones I bought, but you can find them online easily for a little bit cheaper. Google Water slide decals :hip:

FYI: they come in 2 varieties, clear and white, pay attention to what you buy. When you are applying them you cant get the front wet (the ink runs fast) I would experiment with clearcaoting the decal before you take it off the paper (the ink doesnt run with clearcoat)

    Good Luck bud :)

EDIT: bootupbudha: congrats on the maximum pc contest, if you get the same schwag they sent me, the books are a decent read. They also sent me a size medium girls "baby t-shirt" in hot pink lol.

Well the outside of the case is done for the most part
I still need to put in all the internals and figure out a few more solutions, but this project is 80% completed, and we need some glory shots.

    Without further ado....

I have to clean up the corners of the "chrome" moudling a bit more somehow and give everything a good cleaning. I also have to figure out how the power supply will attach and how the cable management will happen along with the mounting of the HD.

Anyway, let me know what you all think, even if you hate it :D (just tell me what I could've done better) Also, if you guys want to give this thread a rating please go for it dont be shy :worried:

Still a bit more to come in the next 32 days........tick, tick, tick, tick, tick....

I like your case verry much, but i don't really like the case standing so high.

    But that's just me.

personally i think it gives it a good posture, gives it a look, if it were low down it wouldnt look as cool as that!

^R3CoN yeah the height of those feet did seem a little disproportional to me at first, but it has grown on me. (the feet are made for real size cases lol) I may take em to a belt sander at some point and chop em down a bit, we will see once I get everything in and how I feel about it at that point.

Thanks for the responses and the thread rating! :D

  20. Wow man, this mod is looking great so far. However one thing I would change is those case feet. I think (IMHO) they would look better with silver brushed feet as seen on most pre-made HTPC cases. Just a thought though mate.

    keep up the modding bro,
