right i think we should all make a pact, tomorrow during lunch, break or after school, college, uni find out where they throw any old pc equiptment & grab whatever we can /me clearign actual coursework out of my hiking rucksack to fit possible luvlies what do you reacon lads, last few days or weeks of college, school, uni grab whatever you can
stupid as it sounds tips have tons of computer equiptment going in, if you have a car a bit further up the road put a sign saying any pc equiptment your dumping i will give you £5, i gaurantee you will have a car full in a matter of 1/2 an hour if you cant find any free methods of computer equiptment ps at tips you tend to get the monitors, keybaord & mouse so that s an entire machine for you to ell on after you have formatted it & done a clean install (can you tell i use this method when im low on cash )
just gone skip diving & is got a socket 360 micro atx board that liiks like it could take a slot pII as well as socketed cpu's it got wet but after drying off may still work not bad for just looking for 10 seconds was it theres more but its buried under stuff from the automotive depratment so it will take time & noise to get it out so im not risking it.............. ...............................................yet
Ive still got to figure out where to go, I have a couple of computer stores around me, so... My uni places stuff in the halls witha sign saying *Going to trash* So if you can carry it you grab it. I have a lot of stuff, these a thread about how much I like school look there. I grabbeda a couple of monitors, a dual p100 and some othjer ****e.
skips are fun, it may have been thrown out but we dont know why, it may have become too old, does not do the purpose it was bought for or mabey it does work but was not setup properly, this is a link to info on wht i pulled out of a skip but it dose not have the onboard lan like the page says www.ecs.com/tw/products/pcsetml.htm /me scurrys off to try & find bits to try it out with for nothing (wont tho)

I went back to the skip again today, undeterred by the shouts of "Scab" from near by windows . I just filled my college bag to the top with PSUs and MOBOs. My brother even took a base unit on the bus, damn funny cos he looked VERY dodgy. They then took the skip away shortly after... :cries: note the print on the top of the case
