I went out and bought a 114mm hole saw, some sandpaper and screws.. Bare case..i poped the top panel off by drilling out the pop-rivits. Planning it out.. Clamped down panel to peice of hardwood, so the holesaw has something to grip. First test after cutting..flush fit mmm... Close up.. I went out and bought a Black and Decker Dremil clone..and a new drill... I cut a plate to go behind the harddrive bay..so the wires behind it are hidden.. Hehe.. Also mounted the relay switch for my pump next to the PSU.. Testing the system.. Relay switch.. Here it is..done..needs some little touch up's i think.. More pics of the completed case can be view on my website..link above.. Jason
Thanks The one temp is the Case (23c) ...the second temp 26c is the radiator.. Then on the CoolDrive..I have my GFX, CPU, HDD, and Radiator again..monitored. btw guys..it's winter here
Nice! I like the P160 case anyway and would buy one tomorrow if I could afford one! Bad colour combination though for the lighting! Green and blue? They just aren't colours that go well together in my opinion! All green with perhaps some UV reactive green dye in the water and a UV cathode, and maybe some green UV reactive rounded cables for the HDDs and FDD too! Now that would look sweet! Ade
The Blue IDE Round Cable is UV..and i have a UV CCFl..but i dont feel like using it because its basically useless..it doesnt work that well.. ..i need a super strong UV Led mmm...
Nice work! I've been planing my similar mod all week. I have recently bought the P160 and I already have Asetek-gear in a nasty(in a bad way) Thermaltake case. So I'm looking forward to completing mine, cus yours looks secksy . I'm going to have an all green light-theme tho and probably only dual-rad.
I like the case, nice work, but I have a couple of comments: Maybe hide the CCFL, light has a better effect when it radiates from a hidden source (in my opinion). I've found that adding heatshrink is better than zip-ties when securing the ends of sleeved cables (aesthetically at least).
BE VERY CAREFULL you don't want to get a uv LED which is too powerfull or you risk destroying your eyes. If there is no visable light emited then you have somthing too powerfull and should stop using it.
that is such a cool modd and nice job its so much neater than mine mines almost the same but in a cheiftec case
You dont like blue and green, is it just because they are abused. Ive got a blue and green in my case, and they go really well together. And nice job by the way.
I'm just not that keen on using complementary colours, I prefer the looks of contrasting colours or a single colour as this is far more eye catching (one of my faves is either orange or yellow with purple) and pleasing to the eye. Green, IMHO, looks best with more green as it tends to make other colours look pale and insignificant. It's still a nice job though but I'd be tempted to dump the blue and either put in more green or UV. Ade
