I am getting a new case soon and it has a headphone socket (mic, usb) on the front of the case is there any way of setting them up so i dont have to keep swapping wires over?
Alot of motherboards have pin connectors for front audio, much like the front usb, etc. I'm sure your AV8 has those, look in the manual for front audio.
Just be careful if you care about audio quality alot (and I mean alot). When I hooked up the front panel audio on a A7N8X-D there was a very slight buzzing sound that drove me crazy. The buzzing came from the speakers reguardless if I pluged them in to the sockets on the back or to the extended ones on the front. Just a word of warning.
if your MB doesnt have pins, or the front panel has a 3.5mm jack, then you can buy a spliter from anywere, just make sure that each output has both chanels, instead of one being L and one R
Here's my low tech version. Plugging headphones in the front cuts off the ouyput to the speakers. You could give something similar a go. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=44090
