Thought I'd post a couple of pics of my car before it goes. Selling it soon with plans on getting another mini and doing the retro bit (10" alloys, group2 arches, mk1 grille, etc)

Year 2000 (X reg) Cooper Sport. Will probably be looking for around £5000, seems to be the going price at the moment for this model and mileage.

mm yeh mambers are awsome! 10x5 are best for going fast cous you cant get bigger than 165mm wide road tyres for 10" wheels

Ive got some miglia rims for mine but im making my own wheel centers. im going to have 5" of wheel hanging out the arches:D

Which miglia rims have you got and what tyres are you using on them? The force racing and Spectrum rims are really nice. Which arches are you going to use? Group 5 euro's or Group 7's should cover your garden roller tyres nicely or are you going the whole hog and getting miglia arches? :hip: Any chance of some pics of the miglia rims? and of your car..always good to see other mini's

    grrooooaaaar!!!!! :D

My standard W reg cooper (not sport) was just over 5k @ 21kmiles so I think you're asking a fair price for the beastie :)

Glad you're getting another tho, once you catch the bug it doesnt leave, hehe :)

aye, mini's certainly are addictive. Told my mum I was selling the sport to get another and she was like.."can you not save up to buy another 1 so you don't have to sell the other" :hehe:

These are the rims i have

There from spectrums with 4" outer and 3" inner sections. I got them of a guy running a miglia for about £100. Some are a bit scuffed up but the outer 4" ones all seme ok. Im going to be building my own centers in the style of centerline rims (solid) as the guy i brought em didnt have any. Im going to start off with 165 dunlop sport tyres as ive got some part worn ones, then get either some drag slicks or maybe some semi slick track day tyres. For arches i may ise grp 7s but i quite like the idea of making my own out of 3mm ally sheet.

The cars in a bit of a sorry state atm as im in the middle of rebuilding it (putting in rollcage atm) Started out as a standard 1000 but ive rebuilt front and back subframes, fitted S discs and fitted a modified 1098 motor for now. Planning to upgrade to a rear beam axel, supercharged 1430 motor and some nice 4 pot vented discs when its done.

Cant beat GAZ, they are basicly the same as Avos (the guy who builds them used to work for avos) yet they are cheaper (even cheaper than spax! when i got mine)

    36 point adustible too

I've lost count of the number of minis on here now. Mine is in at the bodyshop right now but it should be nice and shiny when it comes out. I'm registered on MR too but I don't think I've actually ever posted though!

get posting man :thumb: it's a great site.

What's been up with your car to deserve being in the shop? Accident or the dreaded tin worm?

post pics when it's out

slater- do you use the same username on MR? never noticed you there. do you post on minifinity too? I've been a member on there for a bit (not as long as MR) but my posts are minimal at the moment.
