Well that whole w/c setup costs about $90 USD so its not that expensive, I just wonder if its worth it? I was thinking about getting it for my dad's birthday. Being a closed loop even people who dont know anything about watercooling can use it. (Good thing for my dad). I like how this is turning out alot. Keep it up

For the price I would have gone for the evercool wc202. It has two 80mm rads and also has a block for gpu/chipset. My buddy gets very good temps with it after he put a funel on the 80mm rad and put a silent 120mm one.

Let us know how the coolermaster kit works defyant. It looks very well built.

I wish I had your attention to detail. That back panel looks like it's from a decent quality bought case, not something you built by hand. Really nice work

Nice work again as ever Defyant. I don't doubt your modding prowess, but is this an optical illusion or does the DVD drive seem off centre to the slot in this pic you posted?

I love having 2 mods on the go at once!!!

when i get bored... or ideas stop flowing or i need to think about things for a bit, i can just start up on the second mod :p

it kinda feels like cheeting!!! but it seems to work :)

i wanted to get the front panel under spray putty primer while we actually had a good sunny day to work with!

needed to do a few small mods before this could be done,

starting with the smallest of mods H-1's power button! nothing special here, flush mounting it is pretty simple stuff.

Next was to add a Power light and a HDD signal light!.... i wanted somthing that worked in with the curves of the mod,

putting in round lights wasnt goin to cut it.....using the same technique as the frosted style defyant lights on HPR3 i went
for somthing i think works well with this shape.

working around the shape of the fron port hole cutting 2 triangle shaped holes.

These were cleaned up...altho still not perfect the final shape will come with the shaping ofthe putty.

ruff holes are cut using a dremal

cleaned-up and shaped using small files

Next was to make a template of the shapes, scrap thin see thru plex was used.

Next using the drill press and a sanding stone was to put a lip..or edge onthe small clear plex lights to allow them to sit flush with the front.

The new plex lights are taken inside and are further shaped with wet rubbing and given a frosting!!

time to do the mandatory light test!!

with that out of the way... the front panel can go outside for final wetrub with 800 and a few good coats of spray putty.

t'was time to get back to H-1's power source.

amicro 250w psu is to be used in H-1.. some small modding is needed and the loom is covered with simply black flex.

some tidy up work is needed here, but this gives you guys the idea of where the PSU sits in relation to the layout.

the inner front wall can be cut and glued in ..the hole is to allow the front port to connect.

the motherboard back wall can be placed in to check all fits well.

the freshly dried front facia can be tested for fit also.

The porthole is connectet via a modded "baddong duct"..

the idea of the front porthole is to allow air to the sublevel or rear of the case....under the mtherboard to cool the back end of the pc

heat from the motherboard side of the case is handled with help of the 2 rear fans and top 120 radfan.

Air is ducted thru the fron porthole thru the innner duct

along the underside of the motherboard or back panel

and exhausted thru the 2 x 40's @ the rear

fitting on the top rad housing.

Next was s bit of self indulgence :)

i had an idea for idea for a "interchangeable" window concept and thought what better way to try the idea then on a concept PC :)

the idea is to fab up simple channels to slot in new windows! this way i can add a colour windew to change the appearance of the case.

the end result will be to workit in with a matching front window so the case has a theme.

using a thingymajig to get some round courners

next step simple enuf :p cut out the hole.

to make the channels to slide the diff windows in is just a simple matter of slide rails.

6 pecies of thin precut plex are used.

the thinner 3 are glued down onto the back of the window panel

the thicker peices are then glued ontop of the tinner peices to make the channel

putting the windows in is simple!

you guys can see the versatility of being able to change windows!this give H-1 a feature and will incorp a similar

idea to match in the front facia panel.

Looks simply gggggggreat! I haven't yet seen computer built in woofer, atleast not one like that. I love those plastic covers and how you use them! That's just the right way to do this case :) Keep it up! And watercooling-set really isn't that expensive, I have Vapochill Micro (ultra silent) which costs here like 60EUR... (I DID NOT BUY IT! SO DON'T BLAME ME) I just don't have any use for it since I already have Thermaltake Sonic tower ;P

Can you subcribe more than once on a project like this? otherwise I would subscribe again at each new photo and idea...
These ideas are so good... One could almost take your projects as a unique source of inspiration...

My electonics teacher once got one of these exact units from the returns department at sears. The people who bought it had stripped out all of the internals and brought it back empty. That was good for a laugh. Awesome work as always.
