My life is over... PS 7 has died on my box! The PC crashed this afternoon whilst i was using photoshop 7, and ever since i rebooted the program wont start up! :cries:

It goes through its usual loadin screens with the status text flashing past and all. When it finishes that, it just exits itself. Ive tried installing, uninstalling loads of times. Ive also installed it on a differant drive in an attempt to get it to work. :sigh:

Ive manually deleted some of its *.dlls as well. But the same error keeps on occuring...my webdesign is suffering... :(

However Image Ready is still working, but its just not the same as Photoshop 7. Oh yea, my PS 7 is a l337 haxx0r version btw...:p

No cracks were used on it just a serial number and installed from a .exe

PLEASE HELP ME! IM HAVIN AN CRISIS HERE!

    Ug :cries:

Ok, two ways to fix it.

    1) deinstall and search for all entries in regedit to photoshop and delete them all. Then reinstall.

    2) give Adobe a call, you may need a reactivation code, like WinXP Home when you install new hardware, it stops working.

Photoshop itself is not corrupt as ImageReady uses the engine off PS in order to run.

It usually helps to get a mate to test the same program to see if it works on his pc if not knowing u, u've probably been messing with a hex editor :p

I would usually ust give the machine a firm nudge in mock anger and that usually does the trick, although that couold be my bad ram...
