what does the bios setup see the drives as? Partition utilities won't be able to fix that unless your bios and your os support drives larger than 137gb. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they might only work as 137gb.

Another thing that could fix the issue: a pci drive controller.

What os did you put on it? XP? The first XP couldn't deal with drives larger than 137 without SP1. Do you have SP1 on it?

    Good luck.

I've sorted the issue using a winxp disc with sp2 on now so its all sorted. I've got some more pics and some vids to post later.

I've killed my optical drive but it was already broken (it never ejected fully) so I'm not that bothered. I've a new dvd writer on the way :)

Now that the project has been completed I have taken some more shots of the cube in place on my desk as well as a couple of other shots. I've also done two video's one of me removing the components from the cube to show how easy it is and another to show the cool effect of the leds.

First the pictures they are 800x600 shots not thumbnails to allow you to see more detail.

And the two video's right click and select save as to download them.

Video 1: Taking it Apart (5.10mb)

Video 2: Blue Leds in action (2.84mb)

I got it from scan its a cherry keyboard. Great but pricey, they have a smaller keyboard now which I've just ordered to try out.

    Gordy,

I must say, this looks fantastic! I loved the idea from the start and I must say you have finished it perfectly! Great job fitting everything in that tiny case!

You overal setup (desk) looks amazing. I will have to work on my desk setup once I get my new dell monitor.

    Good luck!
    Great project!

    2005FPW
    20" Widescreen (1680*1050)

    :D

    Then my setup will be

    AMD64 3500+
    20" Widescreen TFT (dell)
    17" TFT (acer)
    Powerbook G4 1,5Ghz 12"

The 20" will be used as main screen on the PC and as a secondary screen on the Powerbook. The 17" is secondary for PC.

    L

PS: How do you like the MX1000 ? Worth the money? Right now I have MX510 on pc and some Click! on powerbook. (bouth wired and optical) But I was thinking of using the Click! at home and the MX510 for powerbook and getting a MX1000 for PC.
