so..... now a new prob while i was trying to flash the bios when i type afudos /ip48s1006.rom it tells me ERROR: unable to open ROM file i tried the latest beta and downloading a new afudos file but the same thing happenes (everything from the asus site)
i solved the problem of the bios and i flashed it to an earlyer one but still the same thing happenes (the computer crashes durin installation and the temps arnt bad they between 30 and 40 C
1st i wouldnt flash to an earlier bios, id flash to the latest one that is available. 2nd, i bet its a ram problem, as in your ram is fine with the cely but not with the p4 because of added stress/whatever. like TMM said, what speed is your ram? also if you could post the error on the blue screen you get on installing windows that would be good too.
