ridge racer is great even if you get the JAP version. True I dont understand it but its still a really good game.

Wipeout Pure is good although I got alittle tired of it after a few weeks.

I only have two games :( so can't comment on any others

Hot Shots Golf (I think the UK version is called Everyones Golf) is awesome.

Ridge Racer and Wipeout are good pick-up and plays. Lumines is a good pick-up and play one as well, though games can last a while. You can end up losing a couple of hours of your life, and wondering why tis gone dark outside :D

MG:Acid is OK, but a bit of a wierd story-line. OK if you like card games. I have THUG, but not played it much yet. Waiting for GTA, though I'll probably get it imported from USA as it will be way cheaper...

Lumines, Virtua Tennis, Everybody's Golf, Wipeout Pure, Darkstalkers: Chaos Tower, Ridge Racer are all worth getting.

    Edit: Mercury looks good too.

From the 5 I've got for my Jap PSP:

Mercury - 5/5 - Probs the joint best game on the PSP. My personal favourite.
Wipeout - 5/5 - Awesome, just awesome. The one to use to show the PSP off to your mates.
Lumines - 4.5/5 - Brilliant stuff, and a superb combination of music and visuals.
Mina No Golf/Hot Shots Golf - 4/5 - Really addicitive stuff, doesn't have massive depth but is one game you will revist over and over.
Ridge Racers - 4/5 - Great game but lacks the ability to enthrall once you've completed it.

I just got lumies yesterday. When I started playing it I thought it was really boring and was going to take it back, but now I've been playing it for a few hours I can't stop

I've got wipeout now. Just working through unlocking stuff at the moment. Everyone should unlock the Zone craft as soon as they can, it's the best!

    Hot Shots Golf
    Wipeout
    Mercury
    Lumines

In that order for me :)

THUG2 also gets an honorable mention. It works well on PSP.

Basically, I've had my PSP for almost half a year now...

MG Acid... good, hard to put down initially, but once completed... never touched again

Same with Ridge Racer, although it's picked up once in a while to get a better time trial.

Lumines on the otherhand... hard to put down, great bgm, like tetris... you just gotta keep playing...

Next game i'm looking forward to is Virtua Tennis.

Shame it's not out for the PSP eh? Homebrew doesn't count.

I voted for Wipeout... I've got 50 gold medals now, God bless 10 minute train journeys to uni :thumb:

Also add Burnout: Legends. It's Burnout... in your hands. Amazing.

MGS Acid. Aslong as you don't expect what's gone before, you could be pleasantly surprised by a very engaging turn based action game.

Burnout legends is very good, you can pick it up and play a 5 min race, or for long journeys you can easily sit there for hours

World Snooker Challenge 2005 has to have the longest and most horrifically timed disc access of any PSP game, and the analogue cue control is useless - but as a game it's rather good. Very slow and ponderous action (it is snooker after all) but get a hang of the power meter and spin, and it's compulsive toilet n' train action all the way.
