Great work! Love to see well bought products in a craftmanshiped mod. A waterblock for 200$ is quite insane in my thoughts, but it makes a really good tuch to your system!

And razor_cut is right, it is insane, but its an amazing block. Full load temperatures only 5*C higher than idle.

 

Part I: Lighting placement and routing

Top white CCFL with Reservoir's UV inverter hidden up underneath the frame, and drain tube from res.


Bottom UV CCFLs, 2 of them. They're zip tied together, and then to the case frame. I discovered that with the way the doors attach to the case, that I can actually zip tie into the structure and not interfere with the mating surfaces.


Bottom UV CCFL inverter. I dare you to find the wire that goes back up to the top bay from the inverter!


Top white CCFL inverter tied to front of the frame, with the drain nestled beside it. Yes, the drain line is hanging out a bit, but it'll be pushed in by the side of the case when it is installed.


Rear UV CCFL inverter and a bit of the top white CCFL. The rear UV CCFL is sitting above the exhaust fan, you can just barely see the end sticking out above the exhaust fan.


Play spot the inverter. You can also see (more clearly this time) the top rear UV CCFL above the fan.

@ Pitbull: Yeh, there are a hole lot of cables and stuff in there... but well, it's water cooled, what did you expect it to look like? You can't hide the /wc stuff.

Changed my mind, pure and simple. Window and paint designs always take me a long, long time to figure out, since there's no going back.

 

Really, really love your idea for the buttons and the IC on the board for controlling fans, lights, and ATX.

 

Thanks. I really must get back into that part of the project. Maybe I'll work on some of the buttons tonight... Need to get them sleeved up and glued in. Hrm... It's been so long since I've messed with the controller board prototype that I barely remember what it does.
