    Just bought a Leadtek 6800GT 256Mb AGP.

I'm using the latest drivers, when I play megs they look washed out and blocky using Windows Media player. I've heard an olderversion driver will sort this? Never had these sorts of issues with ATi.

Do I use a different viewer, older drivers or just wait till nvidia fix the problem. I'm looking at getting a PMP and want to see what Mpegs I have to put on this device.

    Thanks as always.

    Not got any avi's

Tried the zoomplayer and winamp with the same results?
I read that an older driver will sort it. How pants is that!

I want to buy a portable media player and want to review the movies on the PC before I tansfer them.

what driver version have you got? i believe 77.72 is a bad one.. and makes video playback bad.. the new one 77.77 works fine on my computer..

Yeah I tried the new one and still gave me the same problems?

Fixed as of 10mins ago, installed the leadtek driver from disk and there playing fine now :D Must be a driver issue, very random. I don't really play games more than that. But will see if the older driver causes problems when the kids have a play next on Sims2.

    Thanks for the replys.

It's on 77.XX and above, the overlay's gamma gets jacked way up. Solution:

open up NVidia control panel, go under colour correction, select overlay in the box under "apply changes to". Then, go down to colour profiles, and select advanced mode - this will set the gamma to a normal 1 vs the 6 they have it set at. All better ;)
