Yeah.. I definately can't pull these knobs off. I've tried turning them all the way to the left or right and pulling, but these things will just not come off. Did you just pull these off with your bare hands?
Yip if you look at the picture below you can see the splines on the nylon black bit which the actual knob cover just pushes on. I wouldn't try turning them off as your liable to bust them
Knew i could count on you Leeum..........top man Bit of an update here. Didn't realise but the closing date for round two of the Coolermaster Modding Competition is September 11th so i had to get something sorted. Still haven't received prizes from round one but had enough Coolermaster gear kicking about to meet the criteria so it looks like i'll have to submit this one for stage two! Anyway........the system ran great with the side panel off but temps started to creep up when it was on as the front rad was lacking cool air so decided to vent each side panel with some silver aluminium mesh which certainly does the job. A few pictures which are self explanatory really and finishes the case off at least so it can be entered into the comp...
I got it from my local metal supplier at £6 ($3) for a square metre - its aluminium mesh so very easy to work with. I'd have a search round local metal suppliers as shipping costs would make it impractical for me to send it tbh
I 'm going to buy a wave master myself and I want to put a 2*120 in front and I was worrying about the air that the front intake can provide. I tought it was not enough for the rad. but you're mesh solution in the window is perfect, I might use something like that to fix that problem Nice mod
I am looking to build my second case, and was wondering what the tubing you used for your water cooling is. In my current setup, I have some clear tubing that turned cloudy once water had flowed through it for a few days. I think it is due to abrasion of the tubing. Has your tubing stayed as nice and clear looking as it was in the earlier open case pics? PS: Are all of the "family" of computers yours? you must be rolling in dough, man.
Cloudy tubes are just part of it my friend. if you look closely you will see his are becoming cloudy too. I have tried my hardest but I have never been able to eliminate it for more than a week or two.
