Apple iPod control?

    ok when ever i put my ipod shuffle into the usb a box comes up saying ipod control so i'll close it/minimise it then continue putting songs onto my shuffle,

    so can ANYONE enlighten me on this?

    I believe that that's the folder that stores the iPod configuration files.

    ah ok can i stop it? just for this application? it dosnt do it in any of my mates pc's

    its comin up cos windows see's it as a mass storage device - i think. Should be able to stop it in control panel sumwhere?

    Because the iPod acts as a removable storage device, you can view the folder structure just like a regular hard drive. Right now you've got it set so Windows Explorer and iTunes will open each time you plug in the iPod.

    Here's how to turn that off: Open My Computer, right click on the iPod drive. Choose properties, then choose AutoPlay. From there choose Take no action and click OK.

    ah ok cheers, just tried it but with no luck...

    still comes up grr , to top that all off the burning software isnt working either for itunes, i'll put a cd in and make a play list click burn and then it says disk burner or software not found? :sigh: :confused:

    Hmm. Try choosing Mixed Content from the drop-down menu, choose no action, apply, and OK?

    I'm not sure why CD burning doesn't work. Are you sure you have a CD burner? :p
