    08.update : DVD part 1

    tutorials used:
    Cdrom window: http://www.casemodgod.com/cd-rom_window.htm
Relocating Activity LED and Eject switch on a DVD: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23443

    window cutting
    [IMG]
cd cover used to make the window
    [IMG]
this is on the top because it's safer and it will not be seen
    [IMG]
on the top part of the dvd, there was a little

on the part of the dvd that I cutted, there was a small notch which was useful to maintain a moving part of the drive, I make a hole and stuck a screw to replace this notch and it works ! (the truth is that I havn't paid attention to this and that I repaired the damage: without this blocking little part, the drive is very noisy and is almost non-functionnal)

relocating switch and led on the audio plug that I routed with my dremel to be sure there was no short-circuit
    [IMG]
two connectors and soldering the switch. test : it works very good ! thx zapwizard
    [IMG]
    a little painting
    [IMG]
and positionning the sticker. of course ageing and rust are missing
