It's a real honour to get a compliment from a modder like you. In fact, it was your mod that made me register here at Bit-tech. Thanks.
wow amazing work, I seriously wouldnt know where to start with this kind of thing. By the way g-gnome, is that guy in your avatar from the film truckers ?
Wow. Just finished reading through this whole thing, and I gotta say, AMAZING. Your detail level is out of this world, and you hand-saw skills should be the basis of a new religion. I can't wait to see how this turns out, and to get the cash to do some of my own modding. Once again, amazing work.
Did some more work on the wiring from the leds. Almost ready to be installed in the case now. and from the other side, where you can see the leds stick out.
I didn't have much time but I just had to work on the wires tonight. I installed the resistors into the case and cleaned up the wiring a bit. All the wires on the right side are for the grill leds. The wires on the lower left side are for the leds in the lower compartment of the case ( HDD and PSU ) and the wires on the upper left side are for the upper compartment ( where you can see the pumphousing and the CPU cooler )
Ready to test the leds under the grill. I don't seem to be able to take a picture that shows the lighting like it is in reality The light intensity is just the way I wanted.
Soldered the last couple of leds today. Back and frontside photos. I mounted the alumium strip around the fans with some bolts. and I needed to make a small opening for the wires from the fan. The bolts and the opening will not be visible in the mod.
Wow, this is just amazing. Like so many others, I admire your skills at acrylic and alumium. What I especially like is your eye for style - not everyone can put together so much plexiglass and leds and still have a clean, stylish and simplistic look. Keep up the good work! Your project really gave me some more inspiration for my own project.
This evening I started with the assembly of all the parts. The first two pieces of hose. and with the PSU rack above the hoses. Next was the radiator and fan in the front of the case. You can also see the first half of the harddisk rack on the last photo.
Did you say...assembly of all the parts? Keep it going Franklin, this project is going to be a cracker once it's all together
