I need to a place wear i can get Costume Cut Acrylic does any one know of a place or even a place i can buy precut pieces? Please help
I think he means Custom lol I get all my custom cut pieces from my Fiancee (as she works with pastic and has a computer controlled cutting machine, that also engraves )
www.delviesplastics.com is a great palce from what i know. I also know that they are where i'll be getting all my stuff cut for my upcoming transparent computer modding. they will send you samples and the guy will work with you if you call or email him designs of what you want and he will quote you a price, which i am in the process of getting a quote right now for a 64 logo for the side of my comp. They are in salt lake city,UT and will ship anywhere and they will ship a pretty big peice of acrylic so no worries on too big to ship. All their info is on the site.
It might help to state what you need the plastic for, and what prices you are looking for. If you want plain clear 1/8in acrylic, it's hard to beat your local Lowe's--most Lowe's will cut it to size for free. If you want something more special, you could consider your local auto glass shop. Online shops I've picked up plastics from: mcmaster's, sandiegoplastics, polymerplastics, and usplastics. I will typically buy sheets and cut them myself, with a little practice its easy with a jigsaw. If you want laser etched, some of the online plastics shops will do it. navig
Thanks alot guys for all your help its been great. But now i have another question and besides starting a new thread i figured i would just ask it here. So here it is What do you guys and girls think is a good power switch because the case i have i dont like the switch to much and i was wondering what a good one was and also how hard is it to wire in another swtich? Thanks alot
wiring in another switch is possible one of the easier things to do. Frozencpu is one of the places that stocks the all popular vandal resistant switches. http://www.frozencpu.com/scan/se=Electronics/se=Switches/mp=menu_search.html. It just needs to be a momentary switch I believe.
needs to be a momentart nomally open switch. momentary being that you can only leave it in 1 position like a keyboard key or a arcade game button, not like a sliding switch or toggle.
