Networks Problem with msn

    hello. i recently got a cable modem installed. and i wanted to shear the internet with my bros pc. so i bought a broadband router, set it up and everything seems to work fine. the internet. games. but msn won't. and thats the main reason my bro wanted the internet. can anyone help me plz!!!

    so your brother cant connect to the internet? need more information please.

    he can. the internet and everything works. apart from msn messenger. i just cant think why!!!

    check your router settings. i dont know what port MSN resides on but its possible that all other ports but http. FTP, SMTP, and POP3 are closed.

    Try going and changing the port in the connections tab on each computer to use for a different port for each computer on MSN Messenger.
