Ok i think i need to buy a new LCD as my current one is only 17" and my 2" CRT is dieing a slow and painfull death. SO my question is basically whats a good monitor that won't break the bank as it were.

At first i was interested in the DELL 2001FP but some people really like it and others don't. So i was wondering if there are any better ones to look at in this price range. Around $700-800 Canadian. Personally i wish they made my current LCD only in a large form but i don't think they have one above 19".

FYI my current lcd is a Philips 170SFB

For a 700-800 dollars price range you can get alot, my suggesttiomn is the Viewsonic vx 715, its a 19 inch and has a 3ms response time, makeing it the fastest monitor in the world, not to mention that its GOREOUS, and its got a good contrast ratio.
