I was just on Windows site and there in the documentation it said windows 2000 supports up to 10 monitor displays... I have heard of people using 2 but never have I heard of anyone using more than 2. Anyone familiar with more than 2 and can you adjust the monitors to stack up in a format like... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x000000000000xx000000000000x x000000000000xx000000000000x x000000000000xx000000000000x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx x000000000000xx000000000000x x000000000000xx000000000000x x000000000000xx000000000000x xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You can move the monitors any way you want. You have this window in the properties that allows you to move then how you would like. Also I have a mate who has a 6 tft 17" setup. Like: (x = a monitor) XXX XXX
As above really, You can have as many screens as you've got outputs, Obviously for every extra 2 screens you'll need a dual-head PCI Graphics card. Windows XP supports it too, aswell as MCE (and most likly Vista) Mike
upto 10 screens, more than that and you need to start using 3rd party apps and all sorts of giggery pokery to make it work
Thanks guys just wanted to make sure that microsoft wasnt pulling a fast one, though I found a linux project that does allow this sort of config as well so I am really getting giddy with joy. I suppose next step will be selecting the monitors and figuring out how in the world to find the room on my 3 foot desk to put all the monitors without them falling over
