My Commodore 64 got me into gaming (I was about 7 years old at the time. We had an Atari 2600 previously). I only got a PC when I was in Year 10 at school (about 5 years ago). Just cause I needed one for my IT lessons really... Not that I hadn't already worked on PCs before though, just not my own
Quite sad that mine was too ... But only 5 years ago and I was 14, LOL Hey we were strapped for cash, that PII 266 was sooooo expensive.
The first Wintel PC I ever got was a 286-12, with 640k of RAM, a 40Mb HDD (in 4 10Mb Partitions) and a 5.25" drive. That cost 800 quid.. and I was 15, which was 12 years ago.. plus I had to build it myself out of individual atoms and power it with a huge hampster wheel I had installed in my room. (Edit: I don't know what you're talking about Relix, you must be imagining it.. Whoops )
lol, i dont really know why i even got a computer 5 years ago (i was 10). my parents decided "we"should get one, and it ended up in my room, with my only using it, so its mine. lol. i keep upgrading the same computer. the first thing i wanted to learn was, how to hack.never did though, too lazy
